Description

The Outsiders Chapter Comprehension Tests and Summaries offers two instructional components.

First, the chapter summaries, in bulleted format, provide quick memory refreshers when teaching the book from year to year.  They also serve as a convenient resource for locating a particular story event or for checking story details.

Next, the series of comprehension tests covers the novel chapter-by-chapter as well as a whole book test.  The objective-style questions include multiple choice, True/False, Yes/No, and matching.

These quizzes do not require story interpretation but rather check for basic story comprehension.  Students must read carefully and thoughtfully for factual detail to score well on these quizzes.  They do not address story interpretation or elements of literature.
