These Christmas Reading Passages, “Five Things You Didn’t Know about Christmas Songs” is a set of 5 informational texts.  Each one features a little-known fact about a particular song. In many cases, events from American history were involved in shaping the song, and sometimes the song shaped history. Think of this product as a music history lesson as well as a reading activity.

The articles, each two-pages of text with 10 CCSS-aligned questions, appeal to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders although some younger and older students will also enjoy the material.
